ABOUT US

Amplifying Compassion

Gracefield Foundation is a legally registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Uganda, dedicated to transforming lives through education, health, and empowerment initiatives. While the foundation obtained its official registration in 2023 under Reg. No. MSMC/CBO/1850/2023, its roots go back to 2018, when its founders, Bishop Godfrey Okoth and Mrs. Hellen Nanziri, identified deep socio-economic and educational gaps in their community and took action.

Located in Masajja Kibira B, Makindye-Sabagabo Municipality, Wakiso District, the Foundation was born out of a passion to serve vulnerable and marginalized populations, including orphaned children, less privileged families, refugees, women, and youth. The founders began with informal interventions—supporting over 100 children annually with education bursaries, food supplies, and community guidance programs.

In 2022, Gracefield established Gracefield Academy, a nursery and primary school that provides affordable, quality education and rehabilitation services to disadvantaged children. Beyond the classroom, the Foundation engages in medical outreach, skilling programs for women and girls, clean water projects, and refugee support initiatives.

Gracefield Foundation’s mission is “Fostering good morals and self-reliance through community-driven development and compatible initiatives,” and its vision is to guarantee “a self-reliant and elite society.”

Our work is anchored in four core values—Transparency, Honesty, Unity, and Hard Work—and guided by the belief that sustainable change begins with empowering individuals to improve their own lives and their communities.

From humble beginnings to a growing institution of hope, Gracefield Foundation continues to bridge the gap between need and opportunity, one project at a time.
